Dear Parents,
The school year is officially half way over. I’m truly impressed with what the students have accomplished. They all did such a wonderful job at the Science Fair. It was great to see the final product of all of the hard work they put into their projects. We officially started Term 3 today. The students all cleaned out their dockets and are ready for a fresh new start. This term students will be getting their own Aspire accounts so they will be able to check on their own grades and missing work. Upcoming Events to be aware of:
What we’ll be learning this term: Math – Tomorrow we’ll be taking our 2nd Benchark and then we’ll continue on with Algegra learning about equations and then moving on to Functions and Inequalities. Language Arts – We’ll continue working through our Reading Street program and we’ll be starting a new novel study on the book, Crispin, which is a historical fiction novel that takes place in the Middle Ages. Science: We started a new Unit in Science today. We’ll be learning about water cycle, weather and climate. To learn more about what we do on a daily basis head to my website and check on my Two-Weeks-at a glance or my Homework page. I appreciate all of your support at home. I do welcome volunteers into our class so if you are interested in volunteering please contact me and we’ll set up a time. Sincerely, Mrs. Reese http://mrsreese6thgrade.weebly.com/
